Dr. Xie earned her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision and her M.Ed. in Counselor Education (College Counseling and Student Affairs) from Virginia Commonwealth University, where she also served as a Graduate Assistant and Adjunct Professor. Her research focuses on college student well-being, especially posttraumatic growth and protective factors among sexual assault survivors and the mental health of international students; ethical AI integration in higher education and counselor education; and research integrity and data quality.
