TWIG Lab: Technology, Well-being,
Integrity, and Growth

We work across three connected areas: the well-being of college students, especially sexual assault survivors and international students; the responsible use of AI in higher education and counselor training; and the integrity and quality of the data behind social science research.

Areas of focus

All research
  • Area 1

    College Student Well-being

International students' life experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic, protective factors among college survivors of sexual assault, and the experiences of survivors who hold minority identities.

  • Area 2

AI in Higher Education and Counselor Training

How faculty and students are adopting generative AI, how institutional policy shapes its use, and how counselor education programs can build AI competency through the AI-III (Introduction, Integration, and Implementation) workshop model.

  • Area 3

    Research Integrity and Data Quality

This area focuses on research integrity and data quality in educational research, with the broader aim of strengthening the trustworthiness of the evidence that informs practice and policy.
